Behind the scenes at Literally: Our approach to lasting client relationships.
The main thing that we value in our interactions with clients is transparency. Transparency about expectations so we can be transparent about our capabilities.
In the further interest of transparency, we’re describing our entire onboarding process as it stands today. While things occasionally deviate, you might find it helpful to see the whole thing laid out. Hopefully, this gives you a better idea of what to expect as you consider or start your engagement with Literally.
Before starting with a new client, we want to ensure we’re the right fit for each other. In a 30-minute discovery session, we’ll discuss your business’s current state, content goals, and the types of content you’d like to create.
This call gives us the chance to understand your needs and share how we can help. After the session, we’ll follow up with tailored samples of our various content types, a proposal for the next steps, or, if we’re not the right fit, a referral to a trusted content provider who is.
This is the part where we learn about the project and get access to the code. We also define the strategy, needs, and deliverables.
In this phase, we work together to outline the project’s scope, deliverables, and expectations, creating a shared understanding of how we’ll move forward.
The Statement of Work defines the key details of the project, including:
This document serves as a roadmap for the project, aligning expectations between both parties.
We take confidentiality seriously. If required, we’ll establish an NDA to protect sensitive information shared during the project. This agreement ensures that your intellectual property, data, and proprietary information remain secure.
We onboard ourselves into your project, receive the necessary credentials, set up the development environments on our machines, and take a deeper dive into the code and any existing documentation available.
If there is no existing documentation, we set up our own Docusaurus instance with the necessary configuration. If an existing documentation platform exists, e.g., Notion, Confluence, etc., then we get the required credentials and start organizing it to fit our needs.
With everything set up, we transition into the production phase, where we focus on delivering the content we’ve agreed upon. Depending on the deliverables outlined in the Statement of Work, you’ll receive high-quality content consistently and on time.
We ensure that all content is delivered according to the schedule we’ve agreed upon. Whether it’s technical documentation, blog posts, or other deliverables, you can count on timely and professional output.
Throughout the production process, we keep you in the loop with regular updates. You’ll always know the status of your content, upcoming deliverables, and any potential adjustments.
Our editors ensure every piece of content is accurate, meets high-quality standards, and is consistent in tone and style.
Let’s discuss how we can turn your technical expertise into clear, effective documentation. Book a call and start leveling up today.
